PRINCE WILLIAM A BESTSELLER AND MEANWHILE DOWN IN CORNWALL...

Penny Junor's biography is on the Sunday Times bestseller list this week. Congratulations to her and thanks to Hodder for a pretty faultless bit of publishing., Meanwhile down in Cornwall the indefatigable and hugely popular Tessa Hainsworth is no 1 in Truro Waterstones with her latest delightful memoir of moving from the fast lane to the slow one - HOME TO ROOST.
DAILY MAIL SERIALISE PRINCE WILLIAM

Penny Junor's new biography of Prince William is being serialised by the Daily Mail this weekend and has already resulted in its going straight onto the amazon bestseller list at no 29 three days prior to publication. Hodder have a terrific PR campaign planned and her American publishers are taking her to New York (not so usual these days) where she'll be on Good Morning America.
THE FIFTIES MYSTIQUE

A really lovely launch party last week for Jessica Mann's part memoir/part polemic against the prevalent nostalgia for the 1950s. Naim Attallah and David Elliott of Quartet were hosts and the venue the wonderful Lutyens & Rubinstein bookshops in Notting Hill. Katherine Whitehorn and Kate Adie, old friends of Jessica's came to support. The Guardian ran a big article of Jessica's on Saturday and the Mail a major feature on Monday.
