A tremendous piece of Christmas good news from Bloomsbury yesterday - THE LAST FIGHTING TOMMY - the autobiography of Harry Patch written with Richard Van Emden has now sold over 300,000 copies. The public took Harry - the last survivor of the trench warfare of WW1 - to its heart and his story has now sold more copies than most of this year's transient 'celebrity' books.
